The program allows property owners to receive reimbursement for the cost of purchasing and installing a natural gas whole-house generator with an automatic transfer switch or a generator tap box. The City of La Porte will cover up to 50% of the costs, with a maximum contribution of $5,000 for a generator and $500 for a tap box.
