ChatGPT Losing Messages in Middle of Conversation?
We've been experiencing an issue where ChatGPT responses are disappearing in the middle of a conversation. The previous response has vanished, and sometimes, we're left with the option to regenerate the response. This happened around the same time to a few of my ChatGPT4 conversations. GPT responses are disappearing, and I looked at the response from the conversation API, and it just shows my message, and then my next message, and no GPT response. Additionally, whenever that happens, I'm no longer able to edit the conversations that are next to each other.
Steps to Reproduce
- Start a conversation with ChatGPT.
- Send a few messages, and ChatGPT will respond.
- Log out and log back in to continue the conversation.
- The previous response will be missing, and the conversation will appear to start from scratch.
Expected Behaviour
I would expect the previous response to remain visible and accessible without the need to regenerate the response.
Workarounds
- Refresh the page and regenerate the response.
- Continue the conversation as if the previous response never happened.

- Session cookies may be expired or lost, causing the conversation to reset.
- The issue might be related to the text function only, as some users have reported not experiencing the problem when using the image generator.
