The world of AI video generation is evolving rapidly, with new tools and technologies emerging constantly. While industry giants like OpenAI's Sora and Kling showcase impressive demos, practical and accessible options for everyday creators remain limited. This is where Pixverse.ai shines as a user-friendly platform for experimenting and creating AI-generated videos.
The AI video generation space is experiencing a surge of innovation, but many exciting advancements are not yet readily available to the public.
For aspiring AI filmmakers eager to start creating, Pixverse.ai offers a compelling solution. This platform allows for experimentation without breaking the bank. While not perfect, its speed and affordability make it an ideal tool for learning and developing skills in AI video creation. One of the biggest advantage is the ability to create videos using images.
Unlike other platforms with costly credit systems and low success rates, Pixverse.ai provides an affordable $5/month plan that encourages experimentation. This allows users to generate numerous videos, learn from their mistakes, and improve their craft quickly.
To test and showcase the capabilities of Pixverse.ai, a short cartoon featuring Bigfoot and a penguin snowboarding was created. This project was intentionally limited to 3-4 hours to emphasize the value of completion over perfection.
Why Bigfoot? The cartoon was created for an AI filmmaking competition
Instead of a script or shot list, a loose, iterative process was adopted. Details were added during the creation process in Midjourney and the video editor.
The process began with the following prompt in Midjourney:
Bigfoot riding a snowboard, Pixar style animation, 3D, --ar 16:9 --s 50
Consistent character design was achieved using Midjourney's "Character Reference" feature (--cref
), ensuring a recognizable family of Bigfoots.
Pixverse.ai's "image to video" tool was used to animate the Midjourney images. The "Magic Brush" feature allowed for selecting and animating specific regions within the images. The "Motion Strength" slider was most effective when set below 65%, as higher values often resulted in distortion.
Out of 40 images, 17 five-second clips were selected and sped up in the video editor. The clips were then arranged to form a coherent story with a happy ending. Dialogue was generated using Eleven Labs, which offers a variety of cartoon voices.

While Pixverse.ai may not produce "Sora-level" quality, its accessibility, affordability, and ease of use make it a valuable tool for anyone interested in exploring AI video generation or AI filmmaking, or anyone looking for a video generator with an image to video function. As the technology continues to improve, Pixverse.ai provides a great platform to learn, experiment, and make progress in the exciting field of AI filmmaking. You will be able to practice and hone your prompting skills, which will only become more valuable as new platforms emerge.
If you seek a straightforward, cost-effective entry into the AI video realm, Pixverse emerges as a compelling starting point.
