Let's make some settings with the Three GURPS Books generator!
I was over on The Big Purple in a thread on Combining Unrelated RPG Products when someone linked the Three GURPS Books generator. The page prompt asks, "You get three random GURPS Books, what campaign do you run?" When you open or refresh the page, it generates three GURPS products you could potentially use to build a campaign.
This is a fun little tool, and I find it to be a great brainstorming tool.
I thought it might be fun to generate some random settings and discuss how we might combine the results.
Our Current Three GURPS Books:
- GURPS War Against the Chtorr
- GURPS Locations: The Tower of Octavius
- GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 12: Ninja
There is an invasion into a fantasy world featuring alien flora and fauna from Chtorr, humanity is trying to seek refuge in the foreboding magical tower of Octavius while striking back with powerful mystical ninjas who are the only hope!
Some Possible Campaign Settings:
Combining GURPS War Against the Chtorr and GURPS Castlebook
- The Earth has been devastated by an alien invasion, and a group of wandering adventurers stumble upon a mystical realm that exists within the earth. As they explore this realm, they find that it is home to a magical kingdom that has its own version of the aliens from Chtorr.
Combining GURPS Locations: The Tower of Octavius and GURPS Vehicles: GURPS High-Tech
- A high-tech, airship-based arcology has been established in the fantasy world of The Tower of Octavius. The players must navigate the complex politics of this arcology while facing threats from the outside world and the alien invaders.
Combining GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 12: Ninja and GURPS Pirate
- In a world inspired by ancient Japan, a group of ninja-like adventurers stumble upon a mysterious island that is home to a pirate organization. As they navigate the complex web of pirate politics, they must also contend with the alien invaders who threaten their world.
